Passwords for XP |
Lophcrack
has long been the standard for password cracking: however, the
numerical keyboard ALT character set represents over 200 symbols
that at present can not be cracked. A 7 word XP Password, using
numbers, letters and standard keyboard symbols, can potentially
be broken in 3 weeks or less by Lophcrack. Adding an alternate+numberlock
symbol, would require approximately 229 years to crack, just
with only one of these inserted in your password. Add two or
more, would again elevate the variables accordingly.
The 10-Key Keypad must be in the Number mode. Insure
the NumLock is ON.
Please
Note : To invoke the ALT Character set, Press ALT+the
number(on the 10-Key Keypad),then release.
WARNINGS!
Jot down your new password, until the mechanics
of the passphrase becomes second nature to you. It's well
worth the Time and the knowledge that the Hackers of our time
will be as old as Noah, before they get your PASSCODE. Enjoy.

Handbook |
|
|
| The
Microsoft Solutions for Security (MSS) and Security and Business
Technology (SBTU) teams have put together a security guide and
handbook that avoids the technical jargon. It provides a brief
but fairly complete summary of how various types of networks
work and the different types of security risks that each presents.
Topics covered include common Internet attacks such as "phishing",
viruses & worms and social engineering. It provides practical
advice on how you can reduce your risk and help protect your
computer and network from all these threats.

Internet
Firewall
A traditional firewall is a device (either a computer running
Windows with firewall software installed, or a dedicated computing
device running a non-Windows operating system and firewall software)
that protects all the computers on a network from attacks by
Internet criminals. |
Personal
Firewall
Software
installed on each computer on the network that blocks intruders
and attackers, either on the same network or another network
(such as the Internet), from connecting to the computer. |
All
networks
connected to the Internet need a firewall of some kind. Home
networks can use simple "broadband routers" that have
basic firewall features. If you run a business network and have
valuable information stored on your network, Contact
Us to investigate powerful firewalls that provide
more protection and services. |
